Sunny Morning

We miss you, Daddy!! Here are a couple of new photos, the first one from just a few minutes ago! When Maddie came to snuggle with me this morning, she kept saying "Dadd-y!" over and over again... how she loves her daddy. And this morning when Ollie was breaking eggs into a bowl for our eggs-on-toast breakfast, he said, "This one is for daddy." Can't wait till you're home!PS! Just sent this text in an email to Andy, and realized it would cover a lot of our news today, so here's some "email style" news! Here goes:

nice time with ryan today, bit frenetic... nice play in the park (the one by the library in sparta, shady), walked around the corner to the pizza place next to the watch repair place, kids were loud and annoying, played a bit more outside the library then we headed home, i think they went on to the boardwalk but i couldn't take another in and out of the car, etc!!

home to play with ollie's new remote control car that we got at tj maxx (along with cute little fleece coats for both of them) for EIGHT dollars, and it's great!! has headlights and everything, goes both ways and turns, and controls from a long way off - no problem all the way from the downstairs bathroom to the hearth! he loves it so much, can't stop playing with it, makes him giggle. i think we might bring it with us to the airport, etc - could be hours of entertainment! assuming it doesn't self destruct, being $8 after all.

quick phone call with mom, which was interrupted when i saw maddie and wondered what she'd spilled - all wet on either side of her thighs and calves and her upper back, unusual pattern, until i realized quickly that it was POO!!!!!! super crazy liquidy poo that she must have done while kneeling or something, hence the pattern.... so she got stripped down, rinsed in tub, then a bath. daddy was glad he wasn't here for that!!

now she's (hopefully) having a nap, and i'm going in the shower myself. oh and we have a showing tomorrow at 4:30pm! a new person. ah, i'll have to check when you're due home... if it conflicts with the showing, i'll call antoinette. not likely, but i'll check.

Bears Again!

A week or so ago, Ollie said he saw something on our front yard, something black. I figured maybe it was our resident groundhog, or a neighborhood cat. When I asked him how big it was, he held his arms out as wide as they would go. Still, I figured he'd taken on his father's penchant for exaggeration... but we went outside to investigate. We didn't see anything at first, but then we noticed something moving near the corner of the house, by the driveway, and were amazed to see two bears! Enjoying a breakfast snack of crab-apples from our little tree. We dashed inside to tell Andy (working in his office, on the phone - I had to mime "Bears!") and to get the camera; meanwhile, Andy discovered there were THREE bears! I had Maddie in my left arm, camera in my right, and Ollie and I ventured back outside to get some good photos... it was really cool. The bears just went about their business, and after a few minutes there was a noise from the woods nearby and they ambled away. I wouldn't want them around all the time, that's for sure, but once in a great while... we just love them.
