A Maddie Dictionary

Maddie is nearly 23 months old, and she has quite a distinguished vocabulary, though much of it is intelligible only to us. Since this blog is serving as our long-term memory system, we thought it would be a good place to record a brief dictionary of Maddie-isms... this is not an exhaustive list of all the words she uses, just the ones we love most.

hop-bum (bunny)
bubble (a drink of any sort)
mo-mo bubble (more bubble)
toto (cocoa)
nee-na-nee (banana)
pop-pie (chicken pot pie, or usually any food at dinnertime)
det-uh-wah (? we don't know, but she uses it a lot)
doh-ee-doh-ee-doh (same as det-uh-wah)
bee-bee (boots)
a-wa (radio)
bwa-bwa (tv)
num-ee-num (food)
taaaaaaaa (thank you)
cheeeeeee (when smiling for photos)
And of course - Rai-a!!! An early word which Maddie would bellow from her crib when she woke up, and would use at various points in the day for any purpose. It might have meant, "Hello!" or "HEY!" :-)
